Starstruck alumna Yasmien Kurdi will have to undergo an operation in order to remove a cyst from her vocal cord.
As the star was recently interviewed because of the impending end of her current show, “Rhodora X”, she was asked what her next project will be.
According to Kurdi, it appears she will do “Yagit” next but revealed that he will have to go under the knife first to remove a cyst from her vocal cord at the St. Luke’s Medical Center.
She said that she is schedule to undergo the procedure “next week” wherein doctors will be making a “slice” on her vocal cord to remove the cyst.
It also appears that her next project will have to wait for at least a month as the actress said, “Pagkatapos nito, hindi yata ako puwedeng magsalita for a month… ewan ko.”
Cysts are typically a capsule made out of wayward growing tissue that’s hollow and may be filled with liquids, semisolids, or gaseous material, according to WebMD.
Kurdi said that she will undergo another checkup before the operation is done. This checkup will determine the precise procedure the doctor will do to remove her cyst.
The actress also told Pep.ph that she is currently anxious about her operation because it may adversely affect her career. She said that she has been hurting since earlier this year but postponed the surgery because of “Rhodora X”.
Nonetheless, she said that she is very positive about her impending operation.
