John Prats shared details of his wedding plans with fiancee Isabel Oli. The two will tie the knot in May next year.
They are still choosing between the first week or the second week of May. It will be a garden-themed wedding in the Prats’ family farm in Batangas.
They are gunning for it not to bee too soon or too late in the summer, so that the setting and the weather will be perfect. Also, they want a short engagement.
John realized how difficult it is to plan a wedding. He thought it would be just easy to say “let’s get married,” but that’s not the case.
They will have a meeting with their wedding coordinator next week because they have two planned weddings–a Catholic and a Christian ceremony.
They also have to take care of their marriage contract and license for their Catholic wedding.
For the Christian ceremony, they have to undergo seminars and the like.
Isabel wants a rustic-themed garden wedding, so they are still studying some designs, as well as the location for their prenuptial shoot.
They are really hands-on in the preparation for their wedding because Isabel has been very vocal about what she wants that day.
Right now, their principal sponsors are Boy Abunda, Cathy Valencia and John’s handler.
Proposing to Isabel is a life-changing experience for John. Whenever he sees her in the morning, John feels complete upon realizing that she will be with him forever.
Isabel works in the family business.
Even his priorities in life changed. He used to shop and go out with Sam Milby, but that’s a thing of the past now.
He’s saving up for the big day because he wants Isabel to have the best wedding, the best wedding gown and the best food. John wants it to be special and perfect because it will only happen once in their lives.
He’s very secure about his decision to settle down with Isabel. He feels it’s the right time to do it.
When he was single, he enjoyed a lot of things and he had many relationships that did not work. Finally, for him, the search is over.
“Eto na yung gusto kong mangyari sa buhay ko, I wanna settle down and I wanna enjoy life on a different level.”
Asked about the honeymoon, John said his aunt in the US is more excited for that because that’s where they are going after the wedding.
Right now, John is focused on the wedding first.
He also shared that they plan to have kids immediately after their wedding because they are already in their 30s.
They are also looking at some houses now, so they can live by themselves after the wedding. It’s hard to have two queens in one house, John said, referring to his mother and Isabel.
Although they are both okay with each other, it’ll be nice to experience living and raising his own family, the actor-TV host said.
Isabel wants to be a housewife and John’s business partner. That’s what he likes about her–because she allows him to provide for her and she’s very supportive in his career.
John grew up with his mom as a housewife who took care of them, so that’s what he wants for his wife too.
