Heart Evangelista Wishes Chiz Escudero Is ‘the One’

Heart Evangelist is hoping that Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero is “The One”.

In an interview with Startalk TX on Saturday, the actress said: “It’s nice to be in a relationship with someone, and you work in, kung meron kayong hindi pagkakaunawaan sa isa’t isa you work on it because you love each other. So, sana siya na nga talaga.”

According to her, she has learned a lot from her relationship with the senator including how to work with your partner through problems.

Evangelista went on to say that she does not want to be in any other relationship saying “sana’y siya na talaga.”

When asked if she thinks Escudero is “The One”, Evangelista confidently said, “Oo naman.”

“Sana naman, pinagpi-pray ko ‘yan na sana siya na talaga. Ayoko na talaga ng iba pa, siya na lang talaga,” she said.

“Ngayon ko lang din natutunan na you know in a relationship you really work hard. Nalampasan na kasi namin yun e, so kahit ano pang dumating after that madali-dali na lang,” she added.

According to the actress, her relationship now is nothing like the relationships she has had before, particularly because the senator and her have been through a big problem recently.

“Pero kung meron pa kaming mga adjustment with each other, you really work on it. Hindi katulad dati na hindi ako masyado nakapagbigay ng chance to work on it kasi hindi ko pa nalalagpasan yung nangyayari bago pa namin narating yun… yung sa parents ko,” she said.

“So, malaking bagay sa akin na nalampasan namin yun, so madali na ang mga bagay,” she added.

Nonetheless, Evangelista did mention that she misses her family.

“Hindi pa kami okay, e,” she said when asked about her family and if she greeted her dad during Father’s Day. Evangelista’s parents made headlines in the past months because they were publicly very vocal against their daughter’s relationship with Escudero.

“Hindi ko rin siya binati nung day na yun kasi kilala ko rin ang Daddy ko. I don’t want to upset him siyempre, di ba?” she said.

However, she said that time will heal everything.

“Kasi when you missed someone the more upset you will be. So, I think it really needs time to heal. I missed my dad very much, and I still have my moments na siyempre umiiyak pa rin ako… you know?” she said.

“Eventually, time will heal everything na maayos din lahat. Everything will just fall into place. Si Lord na siguro ang bahala kung ano ang gusto Niyang mangyari talaga,” she added.

Jake Ejercito Chooses Heart Evangelista As His Leading Lady If He Decides To Enter Showbiz

Jake Ejercito has yet to decide if he will be entering showbiz like his parents–Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada and former actress Laarni Enriquez. But when asked who he would like to be paired with, the London-based Ejercito immediately dropped Heart Evangelista’s name.

He said Evangelista, who is in a relationship with Senator Chiz Escudero, is his childhood crush.

When it comes to ex-girlfriend Andi Eigenmann, Ejercito said he might be better paired with newbie actresses.

“Si Andi, hindi ko naman kayang tapatan si Andi, masyadong magaling. Sa mga newbie na lang kung sino nandiyan, if ever.”

Since the political campaign for his father is already done, Ejercito said he will be returning to London to finish his studies in political science and business management.

He will be back in June this year, so he will decide then if he wants to enter showbiz.

When he was still a kid, Ejercito said he wanted to be in the business because he grew up seeing his parents on television.

His father already gave him the thumbs up to join showbiz. This was the first time Estrada made a comment about Ejercito’s plan to enter the industry where he spent 30 years of his life in.

Over the past year, Ejercito experienced first hand how scandalous showbiz can be. He was involved in a nasty controversy with Eigenmann, whose mother Jaclyn Jose said the Estradas disapproved of her daughter.

Ejercito then publicly announced that Eigenmann had a relationship with Albie Casino, the alleged father of her daughter Elle, while they were still together.

But now that a year has passed, Eigenmenn even helped Ejercito campaign for his father in Manila. He said they are now friends, but denied they got back together.

Some reports, however, said the two were seen together in a London airport just recently.

Chiz Escudero Draws Criticisms For His Elections Day Fashion

Nobody could contest the fact that it was an interesting week indeed for Senator Chiz Escudero. For one, he was re-elected as a senator during the May 13 mid-terms elections. Second, his girlfriend Heart Evangelista surprised him with her appearance on his proclamation on May 16. Third, he is currently drawing countless criticisms from bashers who disliked his elections day outfit.

Yes, the 42-year-old bachelor senator did not escape the discerning eyes of fashion experts especially after he released photographs of himself after voting at his election precinct. In the picture, he was wearing slim-fitting round-neck t-shirt with an artful print. At the same time, he was wearing very tight pair of shorts that many described as resembling that of Spongebob Squarepants. As if those were not enough, he was wearing a pair of slippers.

Many people were surprised especially when the images started circulating a few hours after the May 13 elections. While some people were happy to see a senator dressing down like a common person, more people expressed disappointment about how they see that outfit as unbecoming of his political stature.

Some bloggers even volunteered to be his fashion stylist, because as they point out, Sen. Escudero really needs help in that department. Other bystanders think he is just trying to act the age of his current girlfriend, the 28-year-old Evangelista, who is known in show business as among the most fashionable actresses to date.

Meanwhile, Evangelista was considered as a show stealer when she appeared in May 16 during the proclamation ceremony given by the Commission on Elections for the top 6 senatorial candidates. The event was held in Pasay City at the Philippine International Convention Center or PICC.

It seemed that even Sen. Escudero was surprised when Evangelista suddenly came to him right after he received his own certificate of proclamation. She immediately reached out her hand to Escudero, who was again surprised when she gave him a single peck on his cheek.

Evangelista proved that she is a fashion icon. She wore a white dress that looked classy on her. Some people asserted that she was even the best dressed in that event. Her white dress matched Sen. Escudero’s white barong, which looked decent but not fashionable enough. Observers noted that it was the very first time the controversial couple was seen together in public and in a major political event.

Sen. Escudero was dragged into the controversial fight between Evangelista and her parents, who went vocal about their disapproval of him. For some time, political analysts said the issue affected Sen. Escudero’s popularity as his ranks in poll surveys fell after that. But in the elections, he managed to be the No. 4 most voted senatoriable overall.

In an interview, Sen. Escudero thanked the people who voted for him for expressing their trust and confidence in him despite all the issues that came to his doorstep prior to the elections. He promised to again serve the Filipinos to return that favor.

Daniel Matsunaga Feels Sorry For Ex Girlfriend Heart Evangelista

Daniel Matsunaga sympathizes with ex-girlfriend Heart Evangelista since she’s been going through a lot with the issue between her parents and boyfriend Senator Chiz Escudero.

Matsunaga was able to give his short comment on Evangelista’s problems during the launching of Samsonite Curv Technology at the Manila Peninsula Hotel on May 7.

“I have nothing to say, it’s really hard. I know that she’s having a really hard time, di ba?”

“And she loves Chiz and probably they have to do something about it, maybe talk or something or find in a way to fix things, di ba?”

He said Evangelista should talk to her family about the issue, so they can find a common ground.

He was asked if he felt Evangelista’s parents also disapproved of their relationship when they were together.

Matsunaga, who was with the actress for one year and six months, said he never felt isolated by her parents.

“We had a relationship for one year and six months so, you know, I always had dinner with them and everything, so walang problema.”

Evangelista’s parents, Cecile and Rey Ongpauco, held a press conference condemning Escudero for being in a relationship with their daughter.

They asked the senator to leave their daughter alone, and accused him of being a drunkard.

For his part, Matsunaga said he’s enjoying life as a single person, and that he felt blessed for the projects coming his way.

His newest teleserye will soon air on TV5. Before that, Matsunaga will be spending a month with his family in Brazil.

Geoff Eigenmann Receives A ‘fat’ Memo From Gma 7

It’s not easy to be a celebrity. And it is more difficult if you are one of the top-tier-actors of the No. 1 TV station. Geoff Eigenmann has to learn this lesson the hard and embarrassing way. The 28-year-old-actor was issued a unique memo by his mother studio. Sources prefer to describe it as a ‘fat’ memo.

According to well-placed sources, GMA-7 has ordered Eigenmann to take a break, hit the gym, and try his best to regain his best physique. The network was reportedly bothered that Eigenmann is obviously gaining weight because it does not register aesthetically on screen.

In his recent soap opera, ‘Forever,’ which aired its last episode last April 19, the actor apparently had to conceal his bulging fat through layering clothes. Many viewers reportedly found it odd since they are used to seeing leading men in their tip top shapes. Eigenmann had to wear the same style of clothes throughout the three-month duration of the TV drama.

‘Forever’ was ought to be a special project because it reunites him and Heart Evangelista, his former love team partner while they were still in ABS-CBN. However, the show had dismal ratings and had to move to different time slots several times. The show remained unbeaten by rival shows in all those slots but apparently, the network expected more from it.

According to sources, Evangelista also expressed her concern about Eigenmann’s weight problem several times while they were on the set of their show. Evangelista allegedly advised the actor to take it easy when it comes to food intake. According to a production staff, the actress noticed her co-star’s unusual eating habits while on the set.

Perry Lansigan, Eigenmann’s manager, has confirmed the reports. He has admitted that the network really asked the actor to ‘slim down.’ According to sources, it took some time before the so-called ‘fat’ memo reached Eigenmann. Lansigan revealed that it was his decision to withhold the memo for a while until the soap ends so that his ward would not be distracted while taping for the show.

Lansigan said he is glad that Eigenmann took the order easily and that he pledged to fully cooperate to achieve their goals. However, the manager disclosed that he has no idea what kind of strategy or procedure the actor would take to trim off those unwanted excess weight.

Odd memo

According to insiders, GMA-7 is now concerned about many aspects of its Entertainment unit because the rival is bent on regaining strength. To keep up with the competition, the network has to serve such nasty but logical memos to make sure its contract stars would look great and interesting when they play important roles. These all boil down to ratings.

Sources added that the network is concerned that the program think tanks often have to make adjustments to the characters of their programs to fit the sizes of their talents. Logically, the creative team suffers when this happens. Another source even said that the network was quoted as saying that it can’t give Eigenmann or Richard Gutierrez offbeat roles if they are physically heavy. It is not clear if the same ‘fat’ memo was served to Gutierrez, who has also been gaining weight lately.

Heart Evangelista Struggles Between Choosing Love Or Following Her Parents’ Wishes

Heart Evangelista’s parents still refuse to speak with her because of her continued relationship with Senator Chiz Escudero.

Her parents, especially her mother Cecile, are against Evangelista’s relationship with the senator.

The very first victim of this squabble between Evangelista and her parents is her relationship with actor Jericho Rosales. It was in the ABS-CBN teleserye “Panday” that the two first met. At that time, Evangelista was 21 years old while Rosales was 27 years old.

Evangelista said she rebelled against her parents when they disapproved of Rosales for her. She thought it was a “you and me against the world” situation.

She left her parents’ home and run away with Rosales with nothing in her bank account.

Rosales earlier admitted he is not in speaking terms with his then girlfriend’s parents.

Evangelista, whose real name is Love Marie Ongpauco, comes from a rich family who owns a popular Filipino food chain.

Rosales said he needed to take care of Evangelista then because he wants to show her parents that he deserves to be with their daughter.

After Evangelista made up with her parents, the actor said he is happy to see that they patched things up.

But four years into their relationship, Evangelista suddenly broke up with Rosales because of rumored “infidelity” issues.

Rosales said people around his then girlfriend poisoned her mind into thinking that he cheated on her.

The actor was in Malaysia then taping for “Kahit Isang Saglit” with actress Carmen Soo. Evangelista was in Dubai for “Asero.”

Evangelista maintained though in an interview with “Star Talk” that Rosales cheated on her. She said her boyfriend changed so much that she cannot understand him anymore.

But in the May 2013 issue of Yes! Magazine, Evangelista admitted that Rosales never cheated on her. She believed her parents back then when they told her that Rosales was cheating on her with Soo.

“I really did. And that was because they told me that he was and I was convinced.”

Her parents also didn’t tell her that Rosales waited for her for five hours in her condo.

After her ordeal with Rosales, Evangelista said she just accepted that it was her parents’ way of showing her how much they love her.

Her next boyfriend was Daniel Matsunaga, the Japanese-Brazilian model-turned-actor.

At first, his relationship with Evangelista’s parents is okay. However, after the actress visited his family in Brazil, things turned sour.

Matsunaga didn’t comment about Evangelista’s parents. He said it was a mutual decision to break up, and the reasons are all personal.

Evangelista said then that it was because of their cultural differences. She denied that her family was the reason.

But at the height of the controversies with Escudero, Matsunaga couldn’t help but comment that he can relate to what the senator was going through.

This might mean that Evangelista’s parents also disapproved of her relationship with the Japanese-Brazilian model.

In her interview with Yes!, Evangelista said that she was with her mother in a restaurant in Taguig when she saw Escudero. Her mother was even giddy over them meeting because she knows her daughter has a long-time crush on the senator.

During her first date with Escudero, she and her mother are reportedly “laughing and giggling the whole time.”

Her father, Rey Ongpauco, also warmly welcomed Escudero.

But everything changed when the two officially became a couple. Evangelista’s parents called for a press conference and appealed to the senator to leave their daughter alone and find someone his age.

They also said that Escudero was drunk and reeking of alcohol when they first met him, contrary to Evangelista’s version of the story.

Escudero begged off from being part of the controversy, and said it was between Evangelista and her parents.

Evangelista’s parents enumerated the reason why they couldn’t accept the senator for their daughter: 1. he is still married in the Church; 2. he has a personality problem; 3. he is alcoholic; 4. he disillusioned their daughter that he will become president in 2016; 5. he is opportunistic; and 6. he pushes Evangelista to remove her mother as a talent manager.

Escudero called foul on these allegations, and said his children and mother are already getting affected by the accusations hurled against him.

Evangelista said she was embarrassed by the way her parents are acting since Escudero’s family has shown her nothing but kindness.

“One day,— if they’re not ready to see me even from afar— one day they’ll be proud of me.”

“I’ll make sure of that.”
