Carla Abellana Doesn’t Want To Be Misunderstood About Geoff Eigenmann

Carla Abellana is now refusing to talk about her ex-boyfriend Geoff Eigenmann after her words were apparently taken out of context in an earlier interview.

She’s used to being misinterpreted, but she doesn’t want to talk about Geoff now although she doesn’t regret what she said earlier.

When asked if she has already forgiven Geoff, Carla earlier said if God can forgive demons, so can she. Some took this that she compared her ex-boyfriend to a demon.

This was amid rumors that Carla cheated on Geoff with her “My Destiny” co-star Tom Rodriguez.

Carla said it would be better for her to shut up about the issue because she doesn’t want the other party to think that she’s saying something against them.

It’s her choice to be happy now and to move on from the breakup. Geoff and Carla were together for more than five years.

On the other hand, she said she is thankful to Tom for defending her. She can see that Tom really knows the real her–he knows what she is capable of doing.

Unfortunately, there are times that Tom is dragged into the issue. She again denied any romantic link between her and Tom. They are just happy that they are able to make the people believe there’s something between them. This means that they are doing their job well, Carla said.

Carla Abellana Remains Positive Despite Recent Heartbreak

It was in April this year when Carla Abellana admitted she and longtime boyfriend Geoff Eigenmann have broken up already.

Carla said she has moved on from the breakup already because she feels very blessed with the opportunities coming her way.

She hasn’t closed her doors to love yet, and she is well aware that the fans are clamoring for her and Tom Rodriguez to together. However, Carla said they don’t want to rush into things, and they just want to take thing slowly if they are really meant for each other.

There are so many reasons to be happy and to be positive, Carla said. She hasn’t spoken to Geoff ever since they broke up. Carla also said she has already forgiven her ex-boyfriend for whatever happened before.

She quoted that if God can forgive and forget His enemies, so she can too. She’s not the kind of person who cannot forgive anybody. So, no matter how hard the situation is, she should learn to forgive Geoff.

Did she set a particular age about when she should settle down? When she was in college, Carla said she wanted to get married by the time she’s 27 or 28 years old. Now, she’s already 28 years old, and she just lost a longtime boyfriend.

Carla said she doesn’t want to set a limit because it only pressures her. She knows that God has a perfect time for her.

She added that her next boyfriend should make her happy, should take care of her and should love her. It’s that simple, Carla said.

Carla Abellana Admits Possibility Of Being With Tom Rodriguez In The Future

There were rumors in the past that there is more to the on-screen romance of Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez. Although both denied the rumors, Carla and Tom are now admitting that the possibility of ending up together is there.

The rumors were fueled after a screencap of an email circulated on the Internet, wherein Tom apparently dedicated a song for Carla. Tom draws and writes songs for a hobby.

The two are now starring in GMA-7’s “My Destiny.” Carla revealed that Tom has already written a lot of songs and poems about her. The recent song he sent via email was an “inside joke” about a movie they laughed about in the past.

That movie was “Nacho Libre” (2006) starring Jack Black. This year, they always talk about the movie because they find it really funny. In the movie, Jack’s character wrote a song for a nun. People think Tom wrote that song for her, but that was from the movie.

Carla said Tom always sings, especially at midnight when he is sleepy already. He never intentionally sang a song just for her, so she can’t really say if he’s courting her already with these songs.

In the past, Tom said he’s “trying” to court Carla. What does that mean? Maybe Tom has a plan to woo her, but she doesn’t see that now. Carla said the actor is still like before. He doesn’t say anything to her about courting her.

They are the same when they work and how they are together. Carla said it’s easy to work with Tom, unlike other actors she worked with before.

Can she see Tom in the future as a possible boyfriend? It’s possible, Carla said, “but only time can tell.” She will just pray for a sign, so she will be guided in her decision.

The actress admitted she is pressured by the fans, who want them to be together. But in the end, Carla said the decision is up to her. She has worked with many actors in the past such as Jake Cuenca, Richard Gutierrez and Dennis Trillo.

It just so happened that hers and Tom’s personalities matched, and the fans loved them for it.

Carla broke up earlier this year with actor Geoff Eigenmann, who she has been with for years. What will it take for her to fall in love again? She wants someone who’s nice, who can make her laugh and who will take care of her.

It sounds like Tom. Carla admitted the actor makes her laugh and he’s very nice to her. She added, though, that there are others who are trying to woo her as well.

Since her breakup with Geoff, she hasn’t gone out on a date yet. It’s unfair for her suitors because she’s also very busy, and she doesn’t have the time for them. Maybe it’s better if they will just come back for her in December because her full booking is only up to November.

She hasn’t even gone out with Tom for a date. They only see each other during taping days. If he has plans to pursue her, he should start in December or January. She has a filmfest to attend to in December.

Carla said she cannot control who she will be with in the future. She simply leaves it up to God.

Meanwhile, the actress doesn’t want to talk about Geoff anymore. She doesn’t need a boyfriend to be inspired. She can get inspired by other things in her life such as her family and her fans.

She said, though, that she has already moved on from her breakup with Geoff. It was easy for her to move on because she’s more mature, she’s older and she can stand up on her own.

Carla revealed that she doesn’t want to talk about the actor because she fears that he may say that she’s using him for promo. Did Geoff berate her before? Yes, Carla said. She defended her ex-boyfriend, saying that no one would want to be used for promo. She has many projects these days, the actress added.

Carla Abellana Hopes She Can Be Friends With Geoff Eigenmann In The Future

Carla Abellana hoped that in the future she and ex-boyfriend Geoff Eigenmann can be friends in the future. She also wants to be friends with his whole family.

They just both need time to heal and to talk about what happened to their relationship. “Maging civil kami.”

They haven’t talked since their breakup. Carla has been very busy with work while Geoff has been very quiet about the issues. He had work recently, but they never had a chance to talk to each other.

They don’t even text each other, Carla said. “Hindi naman mahirap, kasi kung wala namang unfinished business, hindi mahirap.”

Their relationship ended amicably. It was their decision to separate, Carla said. What’s difficult was if there were remaining issues between the two of them, and they had to talk about it and discuss it even though they have already broken up.

“Dapat kung aalis ka man, naayos mo nang lahat, naplantsa mo nang lahat. Mahirap yung unfinished business.”

Meanwhile, Carla said she has no issues with Kylie Padilla, who was previously linked to Geoff because of a series of text messages. Geoff and Kylie were partners in the series “Adarna.”

This was also around the time that Carla and Geoff broke up, as well as Kylie and Aljur Abrenica because of Aljur’s supposed romance with Louise Delos Reyes.

Louise and her ex-boyfriend Enzo Pineda also broke up.

Carla hasn’t seen Kylie recently. But if she ever did, she has no problem about greeting the young actress. “Wala naman siyang kinalaman sa pinagdaanan ko.”

Since she and Geoff broke up, Carla’s career has really taken off. But she said that she won’t be depressed even if after the breakup, nothing happened in her career.

She has faith in God, and she has faith in her network that they will find the right projects for her. It is hard for a network to try to fit a certain artist in a certain project, and Carla understands that.

In showbiz, one really has to be patient about breaks. “Hindi naman ako madi-depress, I will be very patient. Kaya ko namang maghintay sa magandang project kaysa yung basta-basta.”

Religion Is Not The Reason For Breakup With Geoff Eigenmann, Carla Abellana Says

Although Geoff Eigenmann remained quiet about his breakup with Carla Abellana, the Kapuso actress continues to talk about their much-publicized separation. Carla recently said that religion was never the reason for the breakup, as opposed to rumors that it was.

Carla said that religion was just “one of the many reason,” but it’s not the major reason for their decision to separate. Geoff is a practicing Christian while Carla is Catholic.

Although it was not one of the major reasons, Carla said it is an important factor. She also said they could have worked through it if the other reasons did not exist. For example, Carla could have attended services while Geoff could have attended Mass.

They never had an issue about religion, Carla said.

Gina Alajar, Geoff’s mother, thought that the two would already get married until the breakup. “E, yun naman ang akala ng lahat, ‘di ba? Dun din naman kami umasa, kumbaga.”

She wouldn’t last in a relationship if she did not think that Geoff was the one for her. Many thought that they are going to end up together.

They never talked about marriage before because Geoff knew Carla wanted to get married in a Catholic ceremony. There was never any effort for them to attend each other’s religious practices. Geoff never invited Carla to attend a service with him while Carla never saw Geoff take an effort to hear Mass with her.

Maybe the reason why Gina said religion was a major factor in their breakup was because they never talked about it, Carla said.

The actress knew religion is important in one’s relationship. There are people who give up their religion for their loved ones; they convert to another religion for the sake of their partner.

However, she also believes that one doesn’t just give up his/her religion. Carla, for example, is not ready to give up her religion for a partner. “But I’m more than willing to, you know, see kung paano sa isang service, yung ganyan. But, no, honestly, hindi ako ready to give up ang Catholicism.”

Carla has become a part of the Eigenmann family. In fact, she was the one who told Gina about their breakup. Geoff is never one to talk about his problems because he’s a very silent person.

Between the two of them, Carla is really more vocal than Geoff, she said. “Na kung hindi niya pa ako makakausap, wala siyang malalaman, parang ganun.”

She denied that the posts she has on Instagram have anything to do about Geoff. People should just think that she was referring to bashers, “negatrons” and “bitter.” She even said that she might be referring to future suitors.

She’s not even thinking about Geoff lately, so it’s impossible that she was referring to him in her posts. “Puwede! Puwedeng parinig ko rin sa sarili ko.”

Tom Rodriguez Moves On From Breakup With Kaye Rivera

Tom Rodriguez said he has moved on from his breakup with Kaye Rivera. At first, Tom didn’t want to talk about it out of respect for Kaye, especially because they never revealed in the first place that they were together.

He’s happy now in comparison to before. At first, the breakup was hard. He lost a lot of weight. He couldn’t sleep and he couldn’t eat.

“But now, I’m happier. I got the love and support of family, my supporters and my network, GMA, and love and support of God. With all the blessings that I am getting, so how can I not be happy?”

He’s also focused on his family and work now. His family also helped him get through the hard times of his breakup. “And my family was really my rock.” Tom’s family live abroad, so he usually just talked to them through Skype.

He didn’t want to comment, however, on reports that he was the one who initiated the breakup. “A relationship is always two-way and I can honestly say na I did everything I could.”

He doesn’t want to disrespect Kaye by revealing who initiated the breakup. It’s also not right for him to talk about the breakup especially now that they are no longer together.

Tom denied that there is a third party involved in their breakup. There was no overlapping too with his “My Destiny” co-star Carla Abellana, who also broke up with actor Geoff Eigenmann.

“That’s the one thing I can say with open heart, with honesty, na walang takot, na walang overlap at walang third party.”

In the end, Tom believes that destiny will still play a role in his future. Maybe in the long run, Kaye will still be the one for him.

“Minsan, pilyo yung buhay. May sarili siyang… mapagbiro. Kasi, hindi mo alam. Hindi mo alam ang mangyayari. Anything and everything can happen.”

Tom believes in destiny. All his life, he thought that he will be a painter. He never thought that he will be successful as an actor. So now, he’s truly enjoying his work and his career.
