Liza Soberano is focused first on her career goals rather than accepting suitors at the moment. Liza is ABS-CBN’s newest leading ladies as her teleserye with Enrique Gil, “Forevermore,” continues to top ratings.
Aside from “Forevermore,” she is also taping for “The Bet” with Enrique. The story was lifted from a Wattpad series. Supposedly, the movie is slated to be shown on April 4, Black Friday, but it was moved to May to have more time to improve the story.
She’s actually not allowed to take pictures of herself while on her role in “The Bet” because the viewers must be surprised with her look there.
Does she look to follow the footsteps of teen royalties Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, or better known as KathNiel? Liza said she has always been a fan of KathNiel, and she makes it a point to watch their movies.
She even has a picture of Kath in her wallet, meaning that she’s a proud fan. She wouldn’t mind to follow in Kath’s footsteps, but it’s better if she and Quen will have their own identity as a loveteam.
What’s important is that they both have fan bases. At the end of the day, they are all friends, Liza said.
She never expected that “Forevermore” would be that successful. It’s overwhelming how the fans are supporting the series.
Liza wants to thank everyone who supports the series. She always reads the feedback on Twitter and Instagram. “Promise po namin that we will try our best and we will do our best para lalo pang mapaganda yung show.”
After “Forevermore,” Liza will just follow what the management, ABS-CBN, Star Magic and Ogie Diaz (her manager)–want her to do. She is sure they have plans for her too. After “Forevermore” and “The Bet,” there are already plans for her and Enrique.
For now, Liza is focused on her dream to have two houses (one for her and one for her family), a condo unit and two cars. When she has those already, then she can start thinking about love.
Of course, she wouldn’t be able to achieve those without the support of her fans. She owes them whatever she will achieve in her career.
Liza and Enrique have always been very vocal about their admiration for each other, although Enrique said he will have to wait for the right time to court the actress.
Meanwhile, although Liza is a household name now and very likable, she still has bashers on social media. She just doesn’t mind them because they don’t know her anyway.
She just tries to understand her bashers, but she is also thankful to those who defend her against her bashers. Ogie always tells her to be thankful when she has bashers because it means she’s worth their time.
Liza also denied that there’s rivalry between her and Julia Barretto. She’s in fact invited to her debut on March 10, although she’s not sure she can make it because she has tapings for “Forevermore” on weekdays and for “The Bet” on weekends.
Liza will also be turning 18 next year, so what will be her plans for her debut? She’ll be happier if she can get time off to meet her non-showbiz friends because she really misses them. But if ABS-CBN and Ogie will throw a party for her, then she wouldn’t be choosy anymore.
