Although her parents repeatedly told her they cannot attend her wedding, Heart Evangelista is still hoping that she won’t be walking the aisle solo when she finally marries Senator Chiz Escudero on February 15.
Heart said she already tried on her wedding gown the other day and she became emotional because she felt that her wedding to the senator is really drawing close.
It’s a wonderful feeling that after all the things she has to go through in her life, she finally found her Mr. Right. In the many times she almost gave to finding the right person for her, she found that someone who will make things okay. Not everyone is as lucky as her.
“I’m very blessed to have that kasi napakagulo ng mundo namin and nakakatakot na to find someone that will hold your hand through this lifetime.”
Heart said she already accepted that she might be walking down the aisle solo because that has always been the problem with her parents–they cannot see her get married.
She understands that it’s hard for them to let go of her, although that doesn’t stop her from hoping that they will find it in their hearts to attend this important event in her life.
It’s very symbolical for Heart to walk down the aisle alone since it means she has finally completed her journey, and this is her lifetime choice.
She is already in talking terms with her parents, who previously disapproved of the senator, but she added that they still have a precarious relationship.
Her fiance is, of course, trying his best to reach out, but it’s not always easy to settle one’s differences, Heart said.
She explained that her wedding to Senator Chiz is not a deadline for them to fix things with her parents. They have a lifetime to settle their differences. She doesn’t want to think about it too much because she’s becoming emotional again.
What’s important for Heart is her relationship with the senator, and the fact that she’s not stepping on anyone’s toes. She learned not to mind her haters anymore because now, she will also be having her own family.
Although her parents won’t be there, Heart said her sisters will be coming in to stand as representatives.
As early as now, the actress already knows a lot will change in her life once she gets married. The adjustment won’t be easy, but she knows it will make her a better person.
In her career alone, Heart won’t be doing that much kissing scenes anymore since her would-be husband is a senator. She would need to be choosy with her roles from now on.
No one knows how long she’s going to be in showbiz, so she wants to enjoy her projects, too.
She and the senator are not planning to have a baby right after they got married. They will wait for a year because Heart still has many responsibilities and obligations that it’s not right for her to get pregnant.
Besides, she has instant kids with the senator–his fraternal twins with former wife, Christine Flores.
