Zanjoe Marudo and Bea Alonzo are so busy with their respective projects that they may not have time to go out of the country this Christmas. The two are planning to travel, but that might not be possible.
Zanjoe currently stars in the ABS-CBN hit series “Dream Dad,” while Bea is busy with her own showbiz commitments. His only vacation was on Christmas Day itself, so it’s not possible to be out of the country even for just three days.
If ever, they will just spend Christmas here. Despite the hectic schedule, Zanjoe cannot complain because 2014 was a good year for him. Practically all his decisions this year in terms of his career have been wise. He kept on choosing the perfect projects for him.
In his personal life, Zanjoe does not get affected by issues hounding him and Bea. That’s normal, he said. He cannot think of an issue about them that has affected him adversely.
“Dream Dad” is Zanjoe’s first lead role in a teleserye. He has played the second lead in teleseryes such as “The Wedding,” “Dyosa,” and “Lovers in Paris.”
“Dream Dad” is doing quite well in ratings. There are times it has the highest rating in television. Zanjoe said he still feels pressured although the management has been lenient on him.
It is hard, of course, to carry the weight of the show on your shoulders. He also feels lucky that it’s easy to work with Janna Agoncillo, who’s a very talented kid. Janna’s the newest discovery of ABS-CBN.
Zanjoe said the reason why the show has such high ratings was because the audience enjoy the light ambience of it. The show is also very realistic.
The actor hopes more people will tune in to watch the show because the plot will just keep getting better. Although he was nervous at first, he knows it will be successful once he read the script.
He knew from the start it’s going to be a good story. What they were wondering was if the audience will like it too.
There are many surprises in store in the following weeks as Baste (Zanjoe) might get his heart broken. It will be Baby (Janna) who will mend his heart.
