Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes confirmed that their vacation in Japan pushed through for the Holy Week.
Days before the Holy Week, Marian was still in limbo whether or not she and Dingdong will go to Japan for vacation. She doesn’t need a visa because she’s a Spanish passport holder, but Dingdong, being a Filipino, needs one.
Finally, Dingdong’s visa has been granted, so their plan pushed through.
They originally planned to spend the Holy Week either in Manila or in Batangas. But Dingdong said she has been working very hard for her teleserye, “Carmela Ang Pinakamagandang Babae,” so she needed to take a break.
On the other hand, Dingdong will go back to taping for “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real” and “Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles” once Holy Week is over.
Because they are both busy, they rarely see each other that Dingdong just visits her on the set of “Carmela.” Once, Marian was having a pedicure and she was suddenly surprised when Dingdong appeared.
He just waited for her taping to finish, so they went home together. That was the first time Dingdong visited her on the set.
The press kidded Marian that maybe Dingdong was jealous of her partner, Alden Richards? Marian laughed it off and said it’s just work and nothing more.
For sure, when Dingdong does another teleserye or movie, the spotlight will turn to her and people will say she is jealous.
Dingdong will be paired with Isabelle Daza for his next project. Marian said she has no problem with it, especially since Isabelle has a boyfriend already.
All she can say about their respective partners is that they all have to respect that teleseryes and movies are just for shows and when the camera is turned off, they must come home to their loved ones.
“Aba, yun [respect] naman ang importante sa industriyang ito, yun na ang natitira, ibigay na nila.”
Marian is happy that “Carmela” has been very successful even if it has no steamy love scenes and kissing scenes. They run for 10 weeks without a single kissing scene.
“Carmela,” she said, is the most wholesome out of all the teleseryes. After it, Marian is poised to do another project for GMA-7.
Meanwhile, Marian invited the public to watch GMA-7’s Lenten presentation entitled “Panalangin.” It will be shown on Black Saturday at 7:30PM.
The actress said those who will watch “Panalangin” must bring boxes of tissues with them. This is the first time Marian will take on a role who has to confront God.
Marian will star in this presentation with child actress Angeli Nicole Sanoy. “Sabi ko nga, noong binasa ko ang script, naiyak ako. Nakonsensiya ako… ang damdamin ko talaga.”
After that, Marian asked forgiveness from Him because she felt guilty for shouting at him.
