Anne Curtis thanked Broadway star Lea Salonga over the latter’s comment about the former’s performence in “The Voice of the Philippines.”
Asked about what she thinks of Anne’s singing, Lea said: “She’s still not a singer.” Lea earlier commented that Anne cannot be called a singer because she has no singing voice to speak of.
Lea said on her Twitter account that Anne was actually improving. This was after several of her followers bashed her for her earlier statement.
Anne then replied, thanking Lea for her comment. She said people are making a big deal of her singing and Lea’s comments again. She added she gets excited every time Lea comments about her. That in itself is already a major achievement.
Lea joked that the extra attention might be because of Anne’s red microphone. The Broadway star again said she was very impressed with Anne’s progress. “Keep at it. And have fun!”
Anne agreed that it might be because of her red microphone. She asked Lea to just ignore the comments because they are making an issue out of the incident.
Luis Manzano, who is a host in “The Voice” while Lea was a coach, joked with the two of them. He asked Lea and Anne if they want to attend his singing classes.
